Taking a storytelling and photojournalistic approach, students are guided through lessening dependence on automatic shooting modes. Semi-automatic and manual camera modes will be explored with the ultimate goal of leveraging the creative capabilities of the camera. This workshop challenges the student to think beyond 'correct' exposure, with the goal of capturing images with an artistic flair. The entire workshop takes place in an urban outdoor setting under the guidance of the photographer Michael Willems.
