Flash 101

Using flash has always been a necessary part of our photographic lives - especially when it comes to capturing candid, hand-held photos indoors. Many of us have been driven to take these photos simply out of necessity rather than as an opportunity to create truly memorable photos we can be proud of. Any Level 100 Photo Course or Equivalent Knowledge

- Flash Power & Range
- Understanding TTL
- Creating a soft and natural looking images
- Getting rid of Red Eye
- Balancing ambient light and flash light in auto mode

Who Should Attend?

Owners of DSLR cameras & external TTL flash units who wish to learn how to use their flash to get the best possible results.

Note: Users of Compact System cameras and Advanced Point & Shoot cameras that have a flash hot shoe are also welcome to attend this course.

  • Pre-registration and payment is required for all courses.
  • All courses begin promptly at stated times.
  • The School of Imaging reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course without notice.
  • In the event of a course cancellation or postponement, all pre-registered attendees will be notified to arrange another suitable date.
  • Customers may reschedule or refund registrations up to 48 hrs prior to the course start time at no charge.
  • If less than 48 hrs notice is given, up until the course start time, only rescheduling will be offered and an administrative fee will apply. (See Fee Table)
  • Refunds will not be issued and rescheduling will not be permitted, if requested after the stated course start time. Missed courses are not eligible for refunds or rebooking.
  • Course credits with the School of Imaging will be valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase of the original course.
