In this course you'll explore the power and extensive capabilities of the Nikon flash systems. You'll discover how to utilize single flash units to great effect, and work up to the use of multiple flash units with wireless technologies for more elaborate portable studio use. We'll explore the use of additional accessories such as gels and reflectors to help create the ultimate in light quality and mood for your subjects. Emphasis will be placed in combining flash and ambient light to create impressive images with a portable studio package.
Flash 101 or Equivalent Knowledge
- Use of fill flash to balance background and foreground light - Overpowering the sun using high speed sync technique - Use of gels for creative and corrective effect - Introduction and use of various flash modifiers - Expanding to multiple flash units with wireless TTL setups - Use of ratios in wireless TTL setups
Individuals who wish to utilize their Nikon flash system to its maximum potential.
- Your camera - Charged battery - One or more Nikon external flash units - Charged batteries for each external flash you bring
Ownership of a Nikon flash such as the SB600, SB900, SB910 is strongly recommended and will be of use to you in this course. Thorough understanding of the concepts covered in our Flash 101 course is recommended. You should know:
