It is as described; a beginner course focusing on the basic functions of the camera. A very well thought out class with great structure, building on lessons learned throughout. Very knowledgeable staff made question asking a breeze. This class is a must to get comfortable with the camera. I am looking forward to part 2 and learning more advanced techniques.

This was an great course with an excellent instructor. Great focus on just the basics you need to know to get around the camera. A much better use of time then trying to learn from the manual or other books. Well worth taking for anyone who has invested in these cameras. Fantastic tips too. Thanks Michael!
This was a very informative course. This course is for anyone that knows very little about their D80/D90/3000/5000. It's more for basic navigation and functionality of the camera. If you're looking to learn how to take better pictures, you're better off taking the Part 2. I've had my D90 for about 6 months and have played around with it's features and functions. I might have learned maybe 2 or 3 things that I didn't before. I would recommend this course for beginners. intermediate users should consider taking a more advance course.
This course would have been a wonderful introduction to the camera if it had come as FREE when purchasing the camera. By the time the course came up I found a lot of the information redundant as you would have had to figure some of the basics out all ready. I found the course a little agitating as you were spending a lot of time going between the three cameras, therefore losing some of the information momentum you acquire on your camera. NOW FOR THE NOTES! I just reviewed them and wouldn't mind printing off the ones that pertain to MY camera and not all the other filler from 48 pages worth and it is not possible. I feel like I am getting punished for wanting the notes. Just a little frustrating.
