DSLR 101: Canon 60D

Our DSLR 101: Canon 60D course is an essential first step to learning how to get the very best results with your DSLR camera. This course is all about gaining familiarity with the key features of the camera that you'll use every day.

Our primary goal in this course is to quickly graduate from the cameras AUTO mode. We'll show you how to use shooting modes specific to everyday shooting scenarios such as sports, portraiture and landscape.

Most importantly, we'll show you how to take control of your camera so that you'll be able to achieve great results even in challenging light or when your subject is moving quickly. You'll also learn how to take control of your cameras focus system to ensure that your subject is always clear and sharp.

Course Outline:

- Essential everyday camera controls
- Using camera presets for specific shooting scenarios
- Taking control of focus for clear and sharp photos
- Photographing subjects in motion successfully
- How to overcome challenging lighting scenarios
- Understanding when to use (and not to use) flash
- Getting proper colour in your photos
- Choosing the right lens for the shot

Who Should Attend?

Owners of Canon 60D cameras who wish to move out of auto mode and have more control over the results.

Note: If you own a Canon 50D or 40D you are welcome to attend this course.

My friend and I attended today at the store in Cambridge and were very impressed with the delivery and knowledge of our instructor He was very patient with the 7 people attending and some of his first words were " no question is silly or stupid" There was a decent age range and we were all at different levels in the camera usage The instructor was so good that we left feeling comfortable with our camera and it's proper use I would highly recommend this course to everyone who purchases the Canon 60D It is well worth the cost of the course and like I said the instructor was fantastic

I was not sure what the experience was going to be like, however I was quite impressed. It was very informative and the instructor was amazing. I am a beginner with the DSLRs so I was happy after attending the part 1.
