Continuing from where Part 1 left off, we'll take your photo editing skills to a new level with the introduction of Layers and Selection Tools. Discover how experts merge parts of different photos together to create collages and seamless alterations of reality. Learn the beginnings of the non-destructive workflow with Adjustments Layers. We'll also show you how to perform corrections to only specific areas within your image using Elements arsenal of Selection Tools and each of their options. Finally, we'll show you how to put text on your images so you can start creating all sorts of new and exciting media.

Individuals who are already acquainted with Photoshop Elements fundamental navigation and correction tools (see workshop description for Photoshop Elements Part 1) and who want to start using some of the more advanced tools within Photoshop Elements.

What To Bring To Class:
**HALIFAX, SUDBURY, BARRIE, LONDON & WINNIPEG ONLY - Fully functional laptop computer with fully functional retail version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, 7 or 8. Power adaptor and mouse are also required.
You may also use a 30-day trial version of this software, available for download at adobe.com. A full retail version is highly recommended, as you will require the software for your own use after the trial version expires.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop Elements is required for this class. Interface interaction and various tools are covered in our part 1 workshop which you will need to know prior to attending part 2. Some of these concepts include:
- Familiarity and understanding of the Photoshop Elements screen layout
- Understanding of zooming tools, general image enhancement (colour, sharpness, contrast)
- Understanding of cloning, healing, shadow and highlight corrective tools
- Knowledge of the cropping and rotational tools
